Krafcik said that "every time our designers get together and start looking at concepts and the future, the first thing that comes out of those meetings — what everyone gets excited about — is the prospect of a Bronco-like, highly-capable off-roader." A follow-up question - if he meant a Wrangler-fighter – made him smile and repeat himself - "Highly-capable." Perhaps Hyundai will choose a slightly different path than its current competitors (Jeep Wrangler, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Nissan X-Terra) and make use of a similar concept Mazda followed with its Miata (MX-5) in the late 80’s – keep it simple, light and fun! Thinking of that, the “old” Wrangler (YJ) comes to our mind. We sure hope Hyundai builds this 4x4 – and puts it out on the market for a reasonable price (also in Europe, please!) Picture © Hyundai |
